Apple & Google billing charges
Apple and Google use broad billing descriptors for many different products. APPLE.COM/BILL, iTunes, Google Play, or GOOGLE *SERVICES can cover apps, games, cloud storage, music, films, device services, and subscriptions sold by third-party developers. Several small purchases may be grouped into one charge, and family-sharing purchases can be billed to the organiser's card.
Use the platform's purchase history rather than checking only one app. On Apple devices, review Purchase History and Subscriptions for every Apple Account connected to the family. For Google, check Google Payments activity, Play order history, YouTube memberships, and Google One. Match the total carefully because tax or grouped purchases may make the statement amount different from a single listed item. Also check email receipts sent shortly before the bank posting date.
Cancel recurring billing through the same platform that collected the payment; deleting an app does not cancel its subscription. Refund eligibility depends on the product, timing, and region, so use the official report-a-problem or refund process. If none of the household accounts contains a matching purchase, secure the Apple or Google account, review devices and payment methods, and contact platform support before disputing the charge with your bank.
