Question 1

What is the difference between Amazon Prime and AMZN MKTP charges?

Accepted Answer

Amazon Prime is the membership fee. AMZN MKTP (Amazon Marketplace) charges are for individual product purchases. They are separate charges — Prime membership does not cover product costs.

Question 2

Why was I charged for Amazon Prime when I cancelled?

Accepted Answer

Check your cancellation was completed at amazon.com/prime — partial cancellations (like pausing) still result in charges. If cancelled correctly and charged again, contact Amazon Customer Service with your cancellation confirmation.

Question 3

Can I get a refund for an Amazon Prime charge?

Accepted Answer

Amazon offers a full refund if you cancel within 3 days of the renewal date and have not used Prime benefits in that period. After 3 days, only a prorated refund is available. Contact Amazon Customer Service to request it.
